Intelligent Diva Gives us the Tea on her New Album Seduction Play by Play

Aug 17, 2020

She starts by telling us the song why the song I Like What I see means so much to her.

Jacksonville, Aug 17, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - She is a talented singer, songwriter, and lyricist. On the album, you get to hear more R&B, soul with a touch of pop. Growing up singing in singing in the church choir, and the chorus.  She also enjoyed public speaking. Sometimes, she has a funny sense of humor where she would imitate other people to keep the crowd engaged.  Intelligent Diva also enjoyed writing where it consisted of short stories, poetry, and songs. But most of all she enjoyed singing. She loved the harmonies, and how the choirs or the chorus would all sing together, or in unison, sometimes even singing different parts.  However, her primary career had consumed me so much until she realized that she wasn't taking the time to do what she loved. Something that was stress-free to me, was making music. She often prayed about getting back to the place to make time for music. But her due to her primary career,  she wasn't very much into social media. There was no time. She needed to create the balance to get back to a stress-free life.by doing something that she loved. Therefore, initially, I started by releasing an EP called  Collage.  Her family and friends were supportive. She distributed the EP as an independent artist. On the release of Collage, she mostly focused on just writing, and distributing the music, and making sure that she handled all the legal aspects.  She didn't spend a whole lot of money to do that. Intelligent Recorded her first EP from home. basically recorded purchased the beat and recorded the songs from home. The results for me were better than she expected. Collage was originally put up on Sound  Cloud and other streaming sites.

After saw the results of that EP, she decided the next EP had to show growth, and showcase multiple talents.  She wanted to incorporate my background and roots into the EP by producing some of the voice animations, skit writing, songwriting,  singing, and rapping.  The rapping part of it a lot of people who knew her didn't even know that she rap because all she did was sing.  In the chorus, they would rehearse in areas where the acoustics was phenomenal.  Her vision for the next EP after Collage was to allow you to hear music that would encompass everything that she loved. As a huge fan of the r&B from the '90s.  She didn't want to be placed in  1 genre. Therefore, her marketing strategy was to promote her brand to include motivation. Her friends often told her she could write a book. However, she decided instead of writing a book. She could do it in song. After her release of Collage, she worked on a strategy to rebrand her career. She removed the Collage album from the stores.

The song I Like What I see was the first song which was started her rebranding journey. It was not smooth, as an Independent Artist. She took the advice of people who were in the industry for years and some of that advice was not good. She lost a lot of money in plan A. She wanted a listener who heard the EP, to feel like they were at a concert. Since one of her goals was to be marketed as a writer. Intelligent Diva came up with skits to add to the song. She also added special effects to the song to give you a concert big arena experience. She wanted you to hear her roots as a vocalist. She did the leads and background vocals.  For voice animation, her family is really talented.  On the song, I Like What I see, you get to hear her brother as the announcer.   The engineer gave her the arena effect on the harmonies so you could hear the blends as you would hear in an all-girl band or groups.  He called it the En Vogue effect. I Like What I see is the first song that she wrote as part of her rebranding experience where she wanted to showcase all of these things. The song is about a woman headed to work, and she notices a guy in the parking lot who is also headed to the same building. She likes what she's seen. just like the song says.  But, the song tells the story. This song opened the door of many opportunities for her in the music industry; it also taught me a lot of things about people in the music industry. Listen to the new album Seduction on Spotify. Tomorrow, it will be live.
