Neworld Medical Detox Centre Featured by Intervention Canada

Neworld Medical Detox Centre gets featured in a documentary by Intervention Canada.

Toronto, Canada - August 3, 2018 /MarketersMedia/ —

Neworld Medical Detox Centre recently provided detox treatment to ‘Guy,’ the subject of a recent production of Intervention Canada, the documentary Channel series that profiles people whose addiction to drugs, alcohol and other compulsive behaviour has gotten them to the point of personal crisis in their life and has separated them from friends and family.

In the production, Guy, an alcoholic, is sent by interventionist Maureen Brine to Neworld Medical Detox Centre for a week of detox treatment before moving to a rehabilitation center for a month and a half.

According to Ontario’s ministry of health and long-term care, addiction affects one in five Ontarians. Substance abuse is a grave problem that has a negative impact on personal lives, extended families as well as workplaces. However, when an addict decides to quit drugs and alcohol and plans for rehabilitation, medical detox is often the first phase of recovery.

Neworld Medical Detox Centre, located in the countryside just outside Toronto, is a residential detox treatment facility that provides individually-tailored detox programs to its clients. Its team of experienced professionals has been working in medical detox and withdrawal management for over two decades.

Neworld Medical Detox Centre realizes that the process of withdrawal is a critical phase of addiction treatment recovery and can be tough on people. Helping ‘Guy’ through his journey was rewarding for the whole team at Neworld, and they will continue to help others like him who seek help.
